These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website at caceco.ca and your purchase of products and services from Canadian Cellular Communication. By using our website, placing an order, or using our repair or trade-in services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. About Us
Canadian Cellular Communication is a refurbished and used electronics retailer and repair shop operating two locations in Calgary, Alberta, and an online store at caceco.ca. You can reach us using the contact details at the end of this page.
2. Eligibility
You must be the age of majority in your province or territory (18 in Alberta) to make a purchase or enter into these Terms. By ordering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to use the payment method you choose.
3. Products and Condition
Most items we sell are used or refurbished. This means they have been previously owned or opened and may show normal signs of use. We grade each device by condition and describe it on the product page. Condition grades refer to cosmetic and functional state and do not affect a device’s core functionality unless stated.
- Photographs may be representative; the exact unit you receive may vary slightly in cosmetic appearance.
- Battery health on used devices will vary and is not guaranteed to be as-new unless specified.
- Unless stated otherwise, devices are sold unlocked. It is your responsibility to confirm the device is compatible with your carrier and network before purchase.
- Accessories (such as chargers, cables, boxes, or SIM tools) are included only where the listing says so.
4. Pricing and Availability
All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated. Prices, promotions, and availability may change without notice, and stock is limited. We make every effort to display accurate pricing and information, but errors can occur. If we discover a pricing or description error on an item you ordered, we may cancel the order and refund you in full, and we will let you know.
5. Orders and Acceptance
Your order is an offer to purchase. We may accept or decline any order, and we reserve the right to limit quantities, refuse service, or cancel an order — for example, where an item is out of stock, where we suspect fraud, or where information cannot be verified. If we cancel an order you have paid for, we will refund you in full.
6. Payment
Online payments are processed securely through Helcim, our Canadian payment processor. In-store payments are accepted at our point-of-sale terminals. By submitting payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method.
7. Shipping, Delivery, and Pickup
We ship within Canada using carriers such as Canada Post and Purolator, and we offer in-store pickup at our Glendale and Chinatown locations. Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Risk of loss passes to you once an order is delivered or picked up. Please inspect your item on receipt and contact us promptly if there is a problem.
8. Warranty
Unless otherwise stated on the product page, devices we sell and repairs we perform are covered by a 90-day limited warranty against functional defects, starting from the date of purchase or completed repair.
What the warranty covers
Functional defects in the device or in the specific repair we performed, under normal use.
What the warranty does not cover
- Physical damage, liquid damage, cracked screens, or damage caused after purchase;
- Normal cosmetic wear and battery wear;
- Damage from misuse, accidents, or unauthorized repairs or modifications;
- Software issues, lost data, or issues caused by third-party apps or accessories.
This limited warranty is our sole warranty and is provided in addition to any non-excludable rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.
9. Returns and Refunds
Returns and refunds are governed by our Return & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Please review it for eligibility, timeframes, and how to start a return.
10. Repairs and Trade-Ins
For repair and trade-in services:
- Back up your data first. You are responsible for backing up your device before any repair or trade-in. We are not responsible for data loss.
- Devices sold to us or traded in are wiped and processed for resale; make sure you have removed accounts and activation locks (for example, iCloud or Google account/FRP) before handing over a device.
- Quotes for repairs or trade-ins may change if the device condition differs from what was described once we inspect it.
- Devices left with us and unclaimed after a reasonable period may be treated as abandoned, as permitted by law.
11. Your Account
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. Please notify us of any unauthorized use.
12. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse our website — including attempting to gain unauthorized access, interfering with its operation, scraping or copying content without permission, or using it for any unlawful purpose.
13. Intellectual Property
The content on caceco.ca — including our name, logo, text, and layout — belongs to CCC or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission. Product names and brand logos are the property of their respective owners and are used for descriptive purposes only.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CCC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website, products, or services. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that cannot be excluded under applicable law, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product or service giving rise to the claim.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be subject to the courts of Alberta.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the “Last updated” date will be revised. Your continued use of our website or services after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
